«All Hands on Deck» SynopsisFélix (Eric Nantchouang), who lives in a working-class neighborhood in the Paris suburbs, meets Alma (Asma Messaoudene) one summer evening on the banks of the Seine. However, Alma is leaving the next day for a vacation with her parents at their home in Die, in the Drôme region. Imagining an idyllic holiday, Félix decides to join her without telling her. Accompanied by his friend Chérif (Salif Cissé), a student and supermarket employee who finds an excuse to get a week off work, he borrows two tents and books a car through BlaBlaCar. The driver, Édouard (Édouard Sulpice), a rather uptight young man who expected to be carpooling with young women, is reluctant to take the two young men on. The relationship between the driver and his passengers is initially very strained. Félix even makes fun of Édouard by calling him Chaton after the nickname used by his mother during a phone call on the journey.Upon arrival, Félix manages to convince Édouard to drive through the center of Die before dropping them off at the campsite. While maneuvering on a narrow street, he damages the car, which belongs to his mother. The vehicle is out of commission for at least a week for repairs. Édouard is therefore forced to stay in Die instead of going to his mother's, as planned, and he claims he's taking advantage of a meeting with some student friends and the opportunity to go cycling in the area. Chérif offers him a place to sleep at the campsite in one of their tents. Félix insists on being alone, so Chérif shares his tent with Édouard. When Félix calls Alma, she answers coldly and explains that she doesn't like surprises. She does, however, agree to meet him the next day. The meeting lacks the charm of their Paris encounter, and then Alma injures her foot on the rocks when the two go swimming in the river. She receives treatment at a first-aid station from Martin, a lifeguard, and Félix becomes jealous because of what he perceives as flirting between them. The following day, Alma makes excuses to avoid meeting Félix until he spots her on the street that evening, when she had been pretending to be at home in bed. Meanwhile, Chérif meets Héléna, a young mother whose husband has been away for several days working on the construction of his future restaurant. He sometimes looks after their baby, Nina, when she wants to enjoy a bit of her vacation. Alma and her sister, Lucie, meet up with Félix and Édouard for a canyoning trip, supervised by Martin and his friend Nicolas. During a section that causes Alma to panic, Martin helps her, and she thanks him by jumping into his arms. This sparks jealousy in Félix and Lucie—who is attracted to Martin—and triggers a brawl during which Édouard accidentally injures Nicolas. After this ordeal, Alma openly breaks off her relationship with Félix. Félix tells Chérif that he wants to return to Paris the next morning, but Chérif wants to continue enjoying his week in the Drôme. That same evening, after a karaoke night with the other campers, Chérif and Héléna spend the night together.
